Refugees and non-EU foreign nationals in the Saxon labour market
The Saxon labour market is characterised by an ever-higher number of refugees and non-EU foreign nationals in employment. This development strengthens the competitiveness of Saxon businesses and increases the attractiveness of Saxony for foreign investors
Nevertheless, new challenges are emerging, as refugees and non-EU foreign nationals often know little about German labour law. They tend to receive their information from their own, ill-informed networks.
At the same time the residency status of foreign workers produces more paperwork, which represents a significant obstacle for small and medium-sized enterprises wanting to hire refugees. As a partner of Leipzig’s Expert Information Centre on Immigration, “Fair Integration” represents an attempt to tackle these challenges by providing additional coaching services.
Our organization ARBEIT UND LEBEN Sachsen already implements several projects aiming for the successful integration of migrants into the labour market. “Fair Integration” can therefore rely on a wide array of experience and numerous network partners.
